Abstract

Learning motivation is an impulse that dirests a person to learn. The existence of learning motivation can optimize the learning process. The current reality, many students don’t have high learning motivation. This can happen due to a lack of support and a less conducive environment around students, at home and at school. Based on the results of initial observation in grade VII Islamic Junior High School 1 Madiun, students are less enthusiastic about learning moral theology (akidah akhlak). Students are’nt active in class and late in submitting assignments. Support from the teacher and family environment is important to increase student learning motivation. This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 155 respondents. Techniques for collecting data using questionnaires and documentation. While, the data analysis technique uses simple and multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 25 aplication. Research result show that: Theacher’s social competence has a significant effect on learning motivation moral theology (16%), Family environtment has a significant effect on learning motivation moral theology (23,1%),Theacher’s social competencefamily environment has a significant effect on learning motivation moral theology (28,5%).
