Strategi Pengasuh dalam Menumbuhkan Motivasi Belajar dan Beribadah Anak Asuh di LKSA Tunanetra Terpadu ‘Aisyiyah

Abstract

Motivation is a very important thing that must be owned by everyone, including in learning and worship. The motivation of the blind foster children at the Integrated Blind Orphanage Aisiyah Ponorogo always goes up and down. So the caregivers must have a strategy to deal with and also accompany them. This study aims to describe the caregiver's strategy in fostering the learning and worship motivation of foster children at the Integrated Blind LKSA 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the caregiver's strategy in developing overall learning motivation went well. The first strategy given by the caregiver is an individual strategy, in which the caregiver provides learning to each blind child according to his ability. The second is a direct instruction strategy, namely the caregiver teaches directly and practices and also moves or holds the blind child directly. And the third is a reward strategy, namely the caregiver gives a gift to the child who achieves the best results. The caregiver's strategy in developing worship motivation is the exemplary strategy, in which the caregiver participates directly and sets an example for the child. The next strategy is the existence of a program to recite and memorize the Qur'an after the dawn prayer using the Brailee Qur'an.
