Komparasi Penggunaan Metode Ummi dan Wafa Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Al-Qur’an Santri

Abstract

Reading the Qur'an is one of the obligations that must be mastered by every Muslim. There are many methods of reading the Qur'an that are used to make it easier to learn to read the Qur'an. Some of them are the Ummi Method and the Wafa Method. With the Ummi method, many clerics complain that students get bored quickly, take a long time to understand it during the learning process, have difficulty imitating the tone, and the price of books is expensive, so the ustadz want to try to apply the Wafa method at the Ar-Risalah hut after only using the method from the start. Umm. The aims of this study were 1) to determine the students' ability to read the Qur'an using the Ummi method at Pondok Ar-Risalah, 2) to determine the ability to read the Qur'an of students without using the Wafa method at Pondok Ar-Risalah, 3) knowing the difference in the ability to read the Qur'an of students with and without using the Ummi method and using the Wafa method at Pondok Ar-Risalah. This study was analyzed using comparative statistics with the Independent Sample t-Test technique which was carried out at the Ar-Risalah Gundik boarding school, Slahung, Ponorogo. Based on the research that has been analyzed, it can be described as follows: 1) The ability to read the Qur'an of students using the Ummi method seen from the calculation results it is known that the average is 74.25. 2) The ability to read the Qur'an of students using the Wafa method seen from the calculation results it is known that the average is 79.25. 3) The results of the comparative analysis of the ability to read the Qur'an using the Ummi and Wafa method stated that the P-value (Sig) was 0.799 > (0.05). From this analysis, it can be stated that there is no significant difference between the students' ability to read the Qur'an using the Ummi method and the Wafa method.
